Writing Competition

Over this summer, North & South and Libro International will be running a competition for school-age writers, inspired by the November release of Out on the Water: Twelve Tales of the Sea, by Tessa Duder.

Young storytellers aged 15 and under are invited to submit stories about the sea of up to 1000 words, for a chance to win a school visit and writing advice by Tessa, along with signed copies of Out on the Water

Please encourage your child to participate over the summer - entries close on 16 February 2015. Full details about the competition and the book are found in the links below.

Yachts

Today we researched how yachts work and what parts of a yacht are named, then we designed and made one using ice cream container lids, straws, plastic bags, tape, blue tac, newspaper, string and BBQ skewers. We tried sailing them in the school pool.
