Room 6's tukutuku panel

Today was a special day to unveil our tukutuku panel designed by Jordyn and Jayd. A huge thank you to Janine and Maree for all your help to get it finished in time!

Kia kaha, kia toa, kia manawanui!
Be strong, be brave, be patient!
Paddle in your waka through life.
Kaokao (zigzag pattern) represents strength and resilience.
Poutama (stairway to heaven) represents reaching your goals.
Persevere to reach success!

The paddle represents our journey in life through the waves of life, sometimes calm and sometimes rough. The Kaokoa pattern, which looks like the waves of the sea, represents the strength to paddle hard and show true resilience. At the top of the paddle is the poutama which represents the success of persevering to reach our goals.
